The inaugural United Nations of Footy parade was held in Melbourne on 26 January, 2018 as part of Australia Day.
The event saw people from many different communities marching together, wearing their community Australian Rules Football jumpers, to celebrate both our diversity and harmony.
Wearing these jumpers is a strong symbol that – although we come from many different backgrounds, beliefs and cultures – we are all Australians.
20 multicultural communities were represented on the day, including Australia, Belgium, Botswana, Chile, Cuba, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland and Wales.
