What is the AFL Footy 9s Carnival?
The AFL Footy 9s Carnival is an exciting new 9-a-side tournament played in Melbourne. Each player will represent their AFL club and play in their AFL club jumper! It is run by Australian Football International (AFI).
What is the date of the tournament?
The event date is TBC.
Where is the venue?
Box Hill Rugby Union Football Club, Cnr. Middleborough & Canterbury Roads, Box Hill
What is the format?
All matches will be mixed (men & women) and there is no tackling.
How many people are in each team?
Each team will be made up of 12 players – 9 players on the field plus a minimum of 3 reserves. Interchange of players can take place at any time.

What is the cost?
The cost is only $75 per player. This help covers the substantial costs of running the event, which include venue hire, staff, umpires, footballs, trophies & medals, DJ, printing, filming, photographers etc. Our major aim is to ensure that all players and teams enjoy a fantastic day!
Do I bring my own footy jumper?
Yes. All players are required to supply their own AFL club jumper. This keeps the costs of the tournament down, as many players already have their own jumper. More beer money for you!
