The proposed dates for the 2028 Australian Football World Cup are 11 August to 26 August.
The advantages of these dates are:
- Teams usually start their seasons in April so they will be match fit for the tournament;
- Competing teams can attend AFL matches, and
- Competing teams can attend AFLW matches.
The exact dates will be confirmed once feedback has been received from all competing teams.
