Expanding Footy 9s into Botswana is part of our plan to grow the game in Africa.
Footy 9s is played on rectangular fields, allowing the sport to be played on any soccer or rugby field.
There are 3 great formats to choose from – Men’s Footy, Women’s Footy and Touch Footy.

The Republic of Botswana is a sub Saharan country located in Southern Africa. It is similar in size to Madagascar or France. Geographically the country is flat and up to 70% of Botswana is covered by the Kalahari Desert.
The Okavango Delta, the world’s largest inland delta, is in the northwest. The Makgadikgadi Pan, a large salt pan, lies in the north.
It is bordered by South Africa to the south and southeast, Namibia to the west and north, and Zimbabwe to the northeast. It meets Zambia at a single point.
The Chobe National Park and Moremi Game Reserve (in the Okavango Delta) are major tourist destinations.
One of Africa’s most stable countries, Botswana is the continent’s longest continuous multi-party democracy. It is also the world’s largest producer of diamonds.
