PARTNER WITH AFI
Australian Football International (AFI) was established to grow and develop the sport internationally, with a focus on Footy 9s and community development.
Our major aim is to empower people and communities through sport, both in Australia and internationally.
In Australia, our events include the World 9s, Darwin 9s and Harmony Cup. These events provide our teams with the opportunity to represent both their communities and countries of origin.
The aim of each of our events is twofold:
1. to celebrate Australia’s multicultural diversity and harmony, and
2. use the sport of Australian football, as Australia’s only indigenous sport, to break down cultural and ethnic barriers.
Internationally, the inaugural Europe 9s was held in Barcelona, and planning is currently underway for the inaugural Africa 9s in South Africa.
